These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of https://getautoangel.com and any related services (collectively, the “Service”) provided by AutoAngel (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf.
2. Your account
You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@getautoangel.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We are not liable for any loss arising from your failure to protect your credentials.
3. Subscriptions, trials, and billing
The Service offers a free tier and paid subscription tiers. Subscription prices, features, and trial duration (currently 15 days) are described on the Pricing page and may change for new subscriptions. We will give reasonable advance notice of any price change affecting existing subscribers.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from Settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are at our discretion except where required by law.
Payments are processed by Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize us (via Stripe) to charge the payment method on file for all amounts due.
4. AI assistant: important disclaimer
The AI assistant provides general information and suggestions about vehicle maintenance based on the data you provide. It is not a substitute for professional inspection, diagnosis, or repair by a qualified mechanic. AI responses can be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date.
Do not rely on the Service for safety-critical decisions. Always consult a qualified professional before performing repairs or making decisions that could affect vehicle safety, your safety, or the safety of others.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying source code, models, or infrastructure of the Service.
- Use automated systems to access the Service except via documented APIs.
- Submit content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, abusive, or harmful, or that violates a third party’s rights.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Use the Service to send spam or to harass other users or third parties.
- Bypass usage limits or attempt to access another user’s data.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the vehicle data, photos, documents, and messages you submit (“Your Content”). You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, and display Your Content solely as necessary to operate and improve the Service. We do not sell Your Content.
7. WhatsApp messaging
If you link a phone number to receive messages via WhatsApp, you consent to receive transactional messages (reminders, alerts, assistant responses) on that number. You can unlink your number at any time from Settings. Standard carrier rates may apply.
8. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third parties including Google Firebase, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI, Meta (WhatsApp), Twilio, Stripe, and ElevenLabs. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties, and your use of their services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, trademarks, and content (excluding Your Content), is owned by AutoAngel and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or brand assets.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or for legitimate business reasons (with reasonable notice where practical). Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. disclaimers, limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that AI-generated content will be accurate.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will AutoAngel, its officers, employees, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 50.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AutoAngel from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in-app or by email. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which AutoAngel is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.
